(1) Some of the books written by her (Both in Kannada)
(a) In mid '50s some of the family members including her made a trip to Badari and Kedar. The yatra, those days, was quite ardrous. A considerable portion of the journey had to be done on foot. She wrote a kind of a travelogue after she returned from the trip. The book was called BadariYatre. One of the interesting things is that the treatment was quite modrn. It had a handwritten map (reproduced below) as also the altitude of various places ( These aspects are ignored even in the books published today!)
(b) The second book , published after her death, is a collection of songs, poems and shlokas
from varous folk and mythological sources. It was really a labour of love which kept her occupied in her last 5 yearsIt is called Kaavya Gaayana Stotramanjari

She was intimately connected with the Gokulam school which was mainly for poor students. It was housed in her home for more than a decade. She was also very much involved with the orphanage which was attached to the school . She managed to get land for both the orphanage (Gopala Niketana) and the school near VidyaPeetha in Bangalore.

Her handwriting ( a letter written to me in US dated 18 Jan 1968)
The bottom part is by my father

(b) Her death - Krittika(6 years old) by her grandmother's bedside
